About IQAC

In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up gradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure. It functions to motivate and support the Departments in all their academic, extra-curricular, research and extension activities thereby ensuring the quality enhancement of the institution.

Maintaining the momentum of quality consciousness is crucial in St. Xavier College. Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)is conceived as a mechanism to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level. It’s an assurance system, with appropriate structure and processes and with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders.
