Overview

Education Department was introduced in the year 2021 with its motto Educare meaning nourishing or bringing up the child according to certain ends or aims. In accordance with the vision of St. Xavier College, the Department of Education envisions itself to be a community of lifelong learners contributing to the scientific temper and to the well being of the society.
The mission of the Department is to prepare learners to assume positions as teacher-educators, administrators, curriculum developers, researchers and policy makers contributing to the welfare of the society.
To equip the learners with the spirit of life – long learning and values of equity, trust, respect commitment and co-existence and empower the learners with contextualised concerns and multicultural living skills.

Mentoring

The mentoring program assigns each faculty member a group of students for personalized academic and emotional support. Regular sessions provide guidance on performance, personal challenges, and future goals in a safe, open environment.

Internships help students connect theory with practice. They build communication, professionalism, and confidence by placing students in real-world workspaces where they can apply their classroom knowledge and develop crucial soft skills.
